Moonshine Ranch is part of the Martinelli family properties and is farmed by Lee Martinelli, Jr. Martinelli winery also makes a Moonshine Ranch single vineyard designation - it also is more than $25/bottle. Our little part is called Square Block and all hand worked - no mechanized farming. Two clones of Pinot Noir are planted in alternating rows - UCD 04 "Pommard" and "Clone 828" (long story - not really Dijon 828). 50% whole cluster fermentation gives this wine a great perfume lift and very nicely balanced tannins.
